Russians starting to doubt ‘peaceful’ aims of Iran’s nuclear program

Iran’s test of a long-range ballistic missile is causing some Russian officials to reconsider the stated goal of Iran’s nuclear program according to a recent article in the Guardian. This is an important development in unifying the world against an nuclear armed Islamist state as both Russia and China have recently been against strong sanctions and have been in support of Iran’s right to nuclear power, even assisting in the construction of reactors. Whether or not Iran could be considered an Islamist state is a matter of debate and the issue is probably not as pressing as Pakistan’s current nuclear arsenal which could easily fall into the wrong hands if they aren’t already.
